Recent and Pending Updates to the Maryland Sentencing Guidelines

The main focus of the webinar will be highlighting the pending revisions to the sentencing drug and property matrices, effective July 1, 2022. Additional topics that will be covered include:

• A brief review of the basic principles of the sentencing guidelines;
• A recap of the MSCCSP’s 2021 cell-by-cell compliance review process;
• A review of the pending revisions to the sentencing and drug matrices,
effective July 1, 2022; and
• Other recent updates, including the reclassification of 3rd degree sex
offense and revised instructions for scoring victim injury in child
pornography cases
